“Finder’s Fortune”

Quite clear in sense, doesn’t need much explanation. Just felt I needed to take this off my mind and I succeeded. More or less… More “less” than “more”…

“Finder’s Fortune”

I have strayed beyond the truth
And I found more hows and whys –
Thrilling echoes of my youth,
Gliding gently ‘hind my eyes.

Strange unrest had dulled my senses,
Yet, I had no lungs to scream.
Unsure of what was and is,
I found more than just a dream.

Depths uncharted I have found,
Yet, I closed my eyes in fright
And the silence, now, so odd and loud
Has kept me warm through the bitter night.

I have peered back to the lies
And I found my point of view,
Thus, I saw the starlit skies;
I found comfort; I found you.
